ELDERLY CARE: THE IMPORTANCE OF OLD AGE HOMES | CARING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
“One of lifes highest honors is to help those who are in need and improve their quality of life.” While we cannot stop aging, we can learn how to manage its effects so that our loved ones age gracefully and in great health. Memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimers disease are among the most common health issues affecting the elderly. Over time, our parents and grandparents age. They become ill, frail, and weak.
Akshayashakti has started the 2nd Vocational Training Centre for the under privileged in association with Vedanta Foundation
We also offer assistance for job placement to deserving candidates. The guest of honour for the opening was Dr.A.R.K.Pillai , the President of Indian Development Foundation (IDF) . Dr.Pillai a well known social scientist with nearly three decades of dedicated public service.He is actively associated with several social organisation and has received several awards and honours for his dedicated work.
Team Akshayashakti started an advanced beautician course at the vocational training centre in Thane
Team Akshayashakti visited three schools in Vikramgad Taluka of Palghar district . We visited Shikshanpremi Gangaram Mahadu high school of Vaki village ,Chhatrapati vidhyalay and Jr.college,Sakhare village and Zila Parishad school of Sakhare village.
This centre has been training the very poor and needy ladies tailoring .computers and basic beautician.
Donations of Clothes to Tribals of Wada Village, Maharshtra
On 5th of Febuary clothes were distributed to poor and needy tribals of Pinjale and Fanaspada villages. Wheel chair, water bed, new born baby clothes, pillow covers and curtains were donated to Wada Rural Hospital. The effort was highly appreciated by the adivasis and ended with a positive note for future visits.
